I discovered HP Lovecraft in High School and read a number of the paperback collections until the spines cracked. Dagon was the story that first "stuck". The idea of a creature, a world under the sea, completely unconcerned with humankind was a terrifying revelation at that stage of development. The original is pyrography with acrylic tinting on wood, and was created for "Clash of the Titans",an exhibition with Tom "BigToe" Laura in 2013 at Rothick Art Haus in Fullerton.
