Kumaras …. What a funny name for a mug, huh? Well the name means “sweet potato” in Maori, which was a staple diet of the early New Zealand peoples. And what better name for such an adorable little fellow? But dont let his cute expression and little butt fool you….He’s a Fierce protector of any cocktail he’s filled with, so I would suggest not to give him TOO many. He is 7“ tall and can handle a 14 oz refreshment.
This version is hand-painted by Ken Ruzic,the designer of the mug. It is the first batch of customs of this mug, and 15 were made....
Each painted edition is one of a kind, and a hand-colored mini-print ,5.5 x 8.5" and signed by the artist is included with your mug!
Also, the mug edition is named and signed on the bottom.
Note:Painted in acrylic and varnished , this piece is more a work of art, than a common vessel, hand-washing is recommended. It is also glazed/vitrified on the inside, which is supposed to make it safe to drink from.
