Having had the happy opportunity to know both Gecko and Squid,
they have gifted me with some Gecko bisques to paint over the years
and I've finally gotten around to it!
I have painted it to resemble distressed wood with touches of red UV paints it glows when exposed to UV/Blacklight.
Note: this is for Display only, and Unsafe to drink from! A bisque is the kiln fired clay after it is released from the mold, before the next step, glazing,vitrifies the object, making it safe to drink from. This object is painted in Acrylic and sealed with a varnish
and would make your drink taste icky....
The piece is varnished, but gentle hand washing is recommended,
or just a light dusting every once in a while.....
